God is a God of order. He wants you to obey His word for today first before He gives you the next instruction. Take single steps of obedience. Peter and John were typical peasants or ordinary men. But the leaders recognized them as companions of Jesus.
A crisis does not make a man. It simply reveals what is in a man. It shows the real character of a person. In the crisis, the disciples showed what Jesus had imparted in their lives. There is a difference between knowing Jesus personally and knowing about Jesus.
What made the uneducated men so bold? They had been with Jesus. Have you been with Jesus? Being with Jesus transformed the disciples from ordinary men to bold witnesses of Christ. When we allow Christ to impart us, we carry the fragrance of Jesus.
WHAT ARE THE MARKS OF SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN WITH JESUS?
1. Someone who walks with humility, kindness, approachability, full of grace and truthful (John 1:14)
2. Our Christianity should be seen to all. It should not be hidden. So that the world may know we have been with Jesus.
3. When you are in the fiery furnace, you need the ‘fourth man’. He will be there with you, even when you don’t see Him.
