Fighting the good fight of Faith
2 Timothy 4:6-8 – “…I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
In our spiritual warfare, we should be aware of two important things:
1. God is real.
2. Satan and his demons are also real. Our real enemy is the devil.
– You have power and authority. However, in order to be effective in exercising the authority, a believer must be submitted to God and also be submitted to the authority of the local church.
– It is by this that God surrounds us with a height of protection.
Weapons for fighting the good fight in faith
1. The Word of God.
– We should consistently read the word of God.
(Isaiah 60:1, Philippians 4:19)
2. Prayer.
(Ephesians 6:18)
3. Testimony.
(Revelation 12:11)
4. Worship. (Psalm 32:7)
5 The Name of Jesus (Philippians 2:9-11)
6. The Blood of the Lamb (Exodus chapter 12)
God hears a sincere prayer, the language does not matter. The reason we pray is to build our relationship with God. (Jeremiah 33:3)
God, therefore, requires of us a few things in this relationship: Always have the right motive; Live a pure life; Use the word of God in prayer.
